Fun in the sun, at the park

Warm sunny beautiful days are the perfect opportunity to take your lil' ones out to enjoy the fresh air and most importantly each other! Now I'll admit, the getting ready is the tough part. If your a mom of lil' ones, it's just difficult to get out of the house. "Where's the other shoe? "Where's that water bottle at now!!!"  "No, your not bringing all those toys!" Just writing about it makes me dread leaving the house, but awww, , listening to the kids talk about how much fun they had and then, one glance at the pictures, and all the anxiousness is out the door. :))

I've found it easiest to keep the endeavor to myself, until I'm almost set to go. Try making and packing the lunches or snacks, and drinks without an hint to what your doing. This will help things go much more smoothly.

Your kids being around other children is not only fun, but helps with mental and emotional stimulation. Something we as Moms need, too! Most new moms that suffer from Postpartum Depression could bring there emotions around, if they are able to get out of the house and breath some fresh air and have a change of pace!!! But, back to visiting the park with your kiddo's. :)

Don't forget the blanket, wipes and the camera!

  •  Blanket/quilt: Setting the ambiance, for a family, fun, filled afternoon.
  •  Keep dry from the damp ground.
  •  Keep foods off the ground and to slow down the ants.
  •  The wipes: For all the messes that always happen!
  •  The camera: To capture every fun, happy moment, in Gods great sun.

Psalms 96:12 Let the Fields be jubilant, and everything in them; let all the trees of the forest sing for joy.

Some fun thing to do at the park:

1. Nature fun map~ Draw a map out of the park ahead of time. Have kiddo's now draw the main features of the park. Unique trees, ducks, dog area, flower garden, play ground and water features.

2. Sand or dirt time~ I love this one! To my happy surprise, I saw a mom that brought plastic shovels and a bucket to the park. What a wonderful idea! Have some sandy/dirty spot at your local park. Take advantage! And remember being a kid is so much fun and that clothes wash :)

3.Picnic at the park~ Sandwiches, meat & cheese slices, boiled eggs and cold chicken always taste better at a picnic! We bring a pretty blanket that I found at Goodwill. Picnic baskets are always fun for kids to pack up.

4. A Nature collection~ Encourage the kids to find interesting leaves, small squiggly sticks and rocks. What a fun way to bring the out doors home with you. Your kiddo's might like painting the lil' sticks and rocks. Remember rock pets? The leaves use as that nights table setting, under the cups.

5. Lil' Habitats~ My daughter Fi~Fi love to do this! Bring a small cardboard box. Let the kiddo's fill it up just a bit with nature finds. (small leaves, grass etc.) and then find a rolly polly bug. One is probably best! At home and after a bit. Let it go, so she/he (it) can visit her (it's)  Grandma N' Grandpa.

Always have fun and be spontaneous, too!

BE SURE TO GO POTTY BEFORE YOU GO!!! ;).....

....and leave the kids' iPad at home/in the car! ;)
